About Us
4StrokeMaasai is your one-stop shop for motorbike adventures in Tanzania. We’re a local company run by passionate riders who love to share their expertise and enthusiasm for this beautiful country. Our mission? To give you an unforgettable and authentic Tanzanian experience on a motorbike!
Our Tours
We offer a variety of guided tours, from short getaways to epic multi-day expeditions. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned off-road rider, we have something for you. Our tours typically include everything you need: the bike, fuel, accommodation, meals, park fees, guides, a support vehicle, a backup bike, a mechanic, and a first-aid kit. Some tours even include exciting extras like camping, safaris, and cultural visits.
Our bikes
We have a whole new fleet of the new 2024 Kove 450 Rally waiting for you. These are our typical tour bikes. We do not rent these to private individuals to make sure they are at the best state for our tours.
Ready to Rent?
We also rent out 125cc Boxer motorcycles. To rent from us, you just need to be 21 years old with a valid motorcycle license, ID, and credit card. You’ll pick up the bike with a full tank and return it the same way.
So, what are you waiting for?

Need to Know
- You’ll need a motorcycle license for both tours and rentals.
- Bring your own riding gear (helmet, jacket, pants, etc.) for tours. Rentals do not include gear. These can be arranged upon request at a small rental fee.
- Tours exclude international flights, visas, personal expenses, drinks, gratuities, and travel insurance.
- We have a flexible cancellation policy, but earlier notice is better!
Planning Your Trip
Tanzania is a fantastic year-round destination, but the dry season (May-October or October-February) offers the best weather. The climate is tropical, with hot days and cool nights. The local currency is the Tanzanian shilling (TZS). Visa requirements depend on your nationality, so check with your embassy or consulate. Consult your doctor for the latest vaccination recommendations before your trip. We highly recommend travel insurance for peace of mind.
