Welcome to 4StrokeMaasai Limited! We’re excited that you’re considering a motorcycle adventure through Tanzania’s stunning landscapes. Before you ride with us, please take a moment to review the following Terms & Conditions. These details help ensure that every tour runs smoothly and safely.

1. Booking and Payment

To secure your place on any of our motorcycle tours:

  • All bookings must be made online through our website or by contacting us directly.
  • A 45% deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit confirms your reservation.
  • The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the tour departure date.
  • We offer several payment methods, which we will explain during the booking process.
  • All prices are listed in USD ($) and may change without notice.
  • A 5% bank fee applies to all payments made in foreign currency (FOREX) or by credit/debit card.

2. Cancellation Policy

Because travel plans may change, we offer the following cancellation terms:

  • Cancellations made more than 45 days before departure receive a refund of the deposit, minus a 20% processing fee.
  • If you cancel within 30 days of the departure date, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on or after the tour departure date.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, as it protects you from unexpected circumstances.

3. Tour Requirements

To participate in a motorcycle tour in Tanzania, riders must meet the following conditions:

  • You must be 18 years or older (unless otherwise specified) and hold a valid motorcycle license for the motorcycle used on the tour.
  • Riders should be in good physical health and capable of riding for extended periods.
  • Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate.
  • Although every rider is welcome, we recommend off-road riding experience, especially for tours involving challenging terrain.
  • All participants are required to wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, gloves, boots, and protective clothing.
  • Rental safety equipment may be available upon request for an additional fee.
  • We may refuse participation if a rider is unfit to ride or if safety concerns arise.
  • We also recommend bringing sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and other personal items.

4. Tour Inclusions and Exclusions

Our motorcycle tours in Tanzania typically include:

  • Personal expenses
  • Alcoholic beverages

5. Risk and Liability

Motorcycle riding—especially on off-road terrain—comes with inherent risks.

  • By joining the tour, participants acknowledge these risks.
  • Riders are responsible for their own safety and well-being throughout the tour.
  • Agreement with these Terms & Conditions is required before participation.
  • All riders must sign a liability waiver before the tour begins.

6. Itinerary and Changes

Because adventure travel depends on natural and environmental conditions, itineraries may change:

  • Weather conditions, road closures, or unforeseen events may require adjustments to the tour route or schedule.
  • Although we strive to follow the planned itinerary, we may make changes when necessary to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
  • Riders are responsible for arranging all required visas and travel permits.

7. Photography and Videography

During your motorcycle adventure, we may capture photos or videos:

  • These materials may be used for promotional or marketing purposes.
  • If you prefer not to appear in any content, please notify us in writing before the tour begins.
  • You are welcome to take your own photos or videos. However, please respect the privacy of other participants, and feel free to ask the guide if you are unsure.

9. Dispute Resolution

To resolve any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions:

  • We will first attempt to settle matters through friendly negotiation.
  • If resolution is not possible, the dispute will be handled according to the laws of Tanzania.

We may update or revise these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
Your continued use of our website or participation in a tour confirms your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Security Deposit

To protect against damage or loss:

  • A $400 refundable deposit is required for each motorcycle.
  • The deposit is used to cover repair or replacement costs if damage occurs.
  • If repair costs exceed the deposit, the rider is responsible for the remaining balance.
