Do I need motorcycle experience to join the trip?

We recommend that all riders have at least basic motorcycle experience, especially for off-road rides. Our routes are designed for intermediate-level riders, but we can adjust for your comfort level. If you're a beginner, please let us know in advance.

Can I ride if I don’t have a motorcycle license?

You must hold a valid motorcycle license in your home country. International licenses are recommended, especially for longer trips, but not always required for short recreational day rides.

3What safety gear is do I need?

We require basic gear: Helmet Gloves Riding boots IF you do not have gear, please let us know in advance and we will try and provide if the gear is available.

Do you offer pillion (passenger) rides?

❌ No, we do not offer pillion rides.Each participant must ride their own motorcycle. This ensures rider safety and comfort throughout the journey.

Is fuel included in the cost?

Yes, fuel is included for the entire trip.

This 14-day motorcycle expedition is our most extensive and demanding journey – built for riders who want to experience Tanzania from its most remote landscapes to the Indian Ocean.

Ride across over 1,800 km of diverse terrain, from the volcanic north and Great Rift Valley to the lush Usambara Mountains and the tropical coastline.

Vaccinations.
Medical expenses are not covered by standard 4StrokeMaasai Ltd insurance (Clients are highly recommended to come with their own medical/travel insurance).
Costs related to the transport of the participant’s motorcycle to the finish point of the tour, in case the motorcycle or the participant cannot continue the tour due to the fault of the participant.
Riding gear and protection are NOT INCLUDED in the price. Please bring your own helmet, riding boots and protective gear. Without the above, 4StrokeMaasai Limited has all the rights TO NOT ALLOW a rider on the bike. Riding gear can be rented as a special request at an affordable rate, and if required must be disclosed at booking to allow enough time for it to be ordered.

Tips and Gratuities and other such tips are not included for the driver, guide and any other personal on a trip.
